Classes Start 9/16/2024 | Please read carefully and record all dates!

ATTENDANCE AND PROMPTNESS ARE PART OF DANCE DISCIPLINE!!! BE IN CLASS ON TIME! IF A DANCER IS LATE TO CLASS THE INSTRUCTOR HAS THE RIGHT TO HAVE THE DANCER OBSERVE THE REMAINING PORTION OF THE CLASS DUE TO LACK OF WARM UP. IF THE TEACHER IS NOT IN CLASS IN BETWEEN CLASSES START STRETCHING AND WARMING UP!!! IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY AND YOUR CHILD IS LATE PLEASE CALL. THIS SHOWS RESPECT FOR THE TEACHER AND THE CLASS. IF THERE IS AN ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED, PLEASE MAKE TIME TO TALK TO THE TEACHER OR MISS CELESTE IN PRIVATE.

~SIBLINGS AND PARENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO INTERRUPT ANY CLASS WHILE IT IS IN SESSION. THIS IS DISTRACTING TO THE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS.

~ALL DANCERS MUST WEAR THE PROPER UNIFORM TO CLASS. PLEASE RESPECT YOUR TEACHER/STUDIO’S RULES.


ATTIRE:

All Ballet and Pointe classes: Pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and proper leotard (4 years and under – pink, beginner through senior – black) Hair pulled back, preferably in a bun.

All Hip Hop classes: Be Creative!!! Comfortable clothes and clean sneakers.

All other classes: Dance/form fitting activewear and hair pulled back off the face. Proper shoes for class. The correct color and style of shoe will need to be purchased to go along with the recital costume at the time of recital.

Please give us an updated email to receive important news. EMAIL WILL BE THE PRIMARY SOURCE FOR DWC NEWS! If you are not receiving emails please refer to any news that is posted at the studio. Please look for it.

Fall Performance Team Requirements:
Beginner: Ballet, Hip-Hop, Acro
Intermediate: Ballet, Hip-Hop, Acro, Jazz, Lyrical
Junior, Teen, & Senior: Ballet, Hip-Hop, Acro, Jazz, Contemporary, and one or more of choice

MAKE UP CLASSES: If your child was absent and would like to make up the class please ask Miss Celeste or the teacher for the class day and time.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: If weather is questionable please check the website or Facebook page to see if classes are cancelled. We will also email. Please do not call the studio for this information. It will only be on the Website Facebook scroll or Facebook You will not be called. If a class is cancelled and you would like to make it up please ask Miss Celeste or the teacher for the class day and time.

RECITAL AND DRESS REHEARSAL: Our 2025 recital is tentative for 6/7/25 Rehearsal is tentative for 6/5/25. This could be moved forward or back within 1 week. Once the date is set, you will be notified.

RECITAL /PICTURE DAY ATTIRE:In addition to the costume your child will be required to wear the assigned tights, shoes, and accessories. The list will be out after costume choices have been made by the teachers. All students will be wearing hair in a bun in the center back of the head, with a center part. All dancers will also be required to wear specific rhinestone earrings. Attitudes Dancewear will have special events at our studio. This is a convenient time to purchase the CORRECT items. Look for announcements about upcoming dates.

5, 10 and 15 YEAR STUDENTS: Please give your name at the desk so the proper award will be given at the recital. Please look for the email reminders coming at the beginning of spring!

PICTURE DAY: Date is TBA. Pictures are taken by Showstopper Photography (All Students will be in a picture on the studio wall) – schedule will be given closer to the date.

RECITAL TICKET SALES DAY:Date is TBA. Tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis. All tuition must be paid in full to purchase recital tickets.

Thanksgiving – Wednesday, November 27, 2024 – Sunday, December 1, 2024 (Classes resume Monday, 12/2/2024)

Christmas/Winter Break – Monday, December 23, 2024 – Sunday, January 5, 2025. (Classes resume Monday, 1/6/2025)

President’s Day – Monday, February 17th, 2025 (Classes resume Tuesday, 2/18/25)

Easter/Spring Break – Wednesday, April 16, 2025 –Tuesday, April 22, 2025 (Classes resume Wednesday, 4/23/25)

Memorial Day – Saturday, May 24, 2025 – Monday, May 26, 2025 (Classes resume Tuesday, 5/27/2025)
